Core competence

The FELIX app enables schools, universities, companies and private individuals to find out more about emotions, motivation and needs in learning, work and everyday situations. To this end, we offer customized research app formats with which statements about satisfaction and learning and work success can be made in real time using just a few questions.

You can download the app from the following links:

Application-related research topics

The app is used to record emotions, motivation and needs in teaching and learning contexts as well as work contexts in real time. Physiological parameters such as pulse or skin conductivity can also be included. We offer differentiated and anonymous feedback on the learning climate and teaching effectiveness for entire schools, class levels or individual classes.

In addition, questions on various aspects can be researched:

What effects do emotional-situational contexts have on, motivation and learning success?
Can statements be made about the cooperation and effectiveness of teams or groups via skin conductance?
To what extent can the perception of one's own emotions and needs in learning and working contexts influence the self-regulation of individuals and teams?

Our app formats and surveys can be developed and adapted flexibly and according to user needs. This creates links to a wide range of topics, for example:

  •     Environment
  •     economy
  •     health
  •     education
  •     Social issues

The app is funded by the BMBF as part of the PSI project Quality Offensive Teacher Training at the University of Potsdam.

Special equipment

In addition to single choice, multiple choice and Likert questions, the app offers the option of asking picture questions and showing videos. In addition, physiological parameters such as pulse or skin conductivity can be recorded before, during and after the survey.

All data, such as information on age or gender, is anonymized. The measured values are stored anonymously under a numerical code so that they can be analyzed by computer. Only authorized project staff have access to the collected data and measured values. The collected data is stored on a specially protected server.

Special requests can be programmed at any time.

Cooperation offers

We look forward to your interesting questions and ideas, which could lead to various cooperation projects:

  •     Research
  •     Development and evaluation
  •     Application of existing formats in new contexts
  •     Preparation and support for e.g. school audits, internal evaluations or school development planning

We offer special services for schools to prepare for school audits and for internal school development.
