Therefore, together with our Data Protection Officer, we ensure compliance with data protection regulations. Below, we would like to inform you about the purposes for which your data is collected and used, as well as how you can exercise your rights. Use of Personal Data in the Ordering Process
Personal data refers to information about your personal or factual circumstances, such as first name, last name, date and place of birth, email address, phone number, your address, and particularly your bank and payment details. The personal data you provide during the ordering process will be used by UP Transfer GmbH at the University of Potsdam to create a customer account as well as to establish, process, and complete your order, meaning it will be collected, processed, and used. This includes payment processing, possible credit checks, fulfillment of orders, order cancellations, and invoicing. By setting a password, you create a customer account, which will store your data for future purchases in our online store. By agreeing to the privacy policy, you consent to the creation of the customer account and the use of your data for future order processes. Of course, at every order process, you will be prompted to confirm the stored data. Furthermore, we would like to explicitly point out your right to object (see below). To process the order, it is necessary to share your personal data with internal and external service providers (business areas of UP Transfer GmbH, logistics companies, freight forwarders, payment service providers). Your data will not be shared with social networks like Facebook, Twitter, etc.
